Fluid power is subdivided into hydraulics (such as mineral oil or water), and pneumatics (air or other gases). This book, in its second edition, deals with basic concepts of hydraulics and pneumatics, and suitably augments with practical knowledge. The hydraulics portion of the book is logically divided into fundamentals of the subject. The second edition of the book is revised and updated with the additional information and materials on proportional solenoids.
The book is also incorporated with a CD-ROM that contains previous examination question papers. The book is intended for the undergraduate students of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering
